How to work with me
- You will be measured by our team's project success. Project > Team > You.
- I don’t like micromanaging. If you need help, please ask—I'm happy to assist. If you don’t speak up, I will assume you are clear on goals and expectations.
- Know the why. Achieving a great outcome only gets you 50% credit. If you can’t explain the why, we can’t repeat the win, which turns it into a future loss.
- Provide me and our team with consistent feedback. You won’t hurt my feelings, and tough feedback will improve our partnership.
- Feel free to speak your mind. Trust in your teammates does wonders and will help us reach even further.
- We are all on, or off, this bus together. Be quick to admit mistakes—we all make them. Don’t lie or throw people under the bus.
- Keep calm and be clear. There will be good times and bad times; we need to work calmly and clearly through both.
- If you need to tell me something, don’t just DM me “Hi, how are you?” I may be busy, so please explain the problem, and I will respond as soon as I can. Maybe you just need a yes/no answer, but I can’t know that if you don’t speak up first.
- Don’t be the reason I get in trouble. I can’t help you if I’m the last to know. Notify me of any issue as soon as possible
